For Parents and Learners of Brilliant Minds
Parent/Guardian Reviews
I can't quite remember who referred me to Ms. Anitra and Brilliant Minds, but I'm so happy they did. My son started the Kindergarten Club at 4 years old. I was getting complaints from school of him not paying attention and lacking interest. I went to Ms. Anitra desperate for help. After only two sessions, my son's teacher noticed a significant change in him wanting to learn. Ms. Anitra is very patient and has mastered different ways to make learning fun. Not only did my son start asking to do his homework but he would ask when was he going back to Ms. Anitra's school house (LOL). Him wanting to go gave me comfort in knowing that she treats my child well. I am looking forward to my son starting Kindergarten in September and continuing to work with Ms. Anitra because I know he is going to do well. 10 out of 10! I highly recommend Brilliant Minds.
Since 2019, my child has been receiving tutoring services on and off with Brilliant Minds. I was nervous that Anitra would cancel our sessions due to my son's special needs however, she did NOT give up. She is extremely patient, caring, and passionate about tutoring. In addition to her loving her job, Anitra went above and beyond by adding mini therapy sessions into the tutoring times. Over time, my son has become comfortable sharing his difficulties and in return, she shared her life experiences. If you're thinking about tutoring services with Brilliant Minds, just sign up. The prices are reasonable and Anitra is really passionate about ensuring our children have a bright future.
Like many parents, I faced a clash with assisting my son at home on the subject of Math. For reasons between us such as nerves, discomfort with knowing the work, and simply a disconnect, I could not reach him in the ways that he needed. During this time, Brilliant Minds Tutoring newly launched, which was perfect for us. Although I knew Ms. Freeman personally, professionally she was the best choice and proved to be outstandingly relatable in her interaction with kids. We sought out services for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Not only did my son turn around his failing grades, but he was happy and grasping the concepts. She made sure to pull resources of work for his grade levels and also incorporated the exact work done in his class. Ms. Freeman is thorough, careful, and an amazing educator.
